Interesting piece in the New Yorker on Google's book scanning project (via 3QD). The Hobbit has been declared a new species of human. The Globe and Mail discusses a leaked draft of the impending IPCC report on global warming. Amazon finally hooked me into Amazon Prime with this sweet deal (pay $79 for 1 year but you get a gift certificate for $50 worth of groceries, which I would have bought anyway).
