MMVI, the post that never was...

I planned on doing a 2006 favorites post, but never found the time, so in the interest of brevity... on the subject of music, here are three four discs I discovered in '06 that I find worthy of recommendation...

1. Corinne Bailey Rae - self titled. Although I listen to the radio very little, even I couldn't manage to miss Put Your Records On, but things don't end there--it really is a nice disc.

2. Imogen Heap - Speak for Yourself. Although it was released in November 2005, it's still on the list. Both Imogen Heap and Corinne Bailey Rae have been nominated for the Grammy for best new artist. Here's a link to Goodnight and Go on YouTube.

3. Jose Gonzalez - Veneer. Remember the excellent tune playing in the Sony Bravia bouncing ball commercial? The song was Heartbeats from this fine release. (Yes, this was originally released in the second half of 2005 too.)

4. Lou Rhodes - Beloved One, mentioned previously.
